Abstract

The aim of this paper is to approach issues related to the medical therapeutic area of those phenomena which characterize contacts with the supernatural sphere. This research stems from the study of the available pertinent bibliography. Besides, it presents data on the observation of psycho-activity of plants used in healing rituals of Afro-Brazilian religious context, from which the importance of plants as sacred objects can be verified.
