This paper analyses a funerary stele from the Piraeus Archaeological Museum (inv. 20), inside a wider scope of funerary steles with carved dedications to women in Archaic methodology in the field of gender studies in general, and on women´s history in particular, dealing with hypothesis on normative ideals and their (flexible) uses by poli´s society, concerning marriage, love and women´s public display.Downloads
