Historical Archaeology - British tableware - Stoneware - Methodology - Mean ceramic date formula.Résumé
Beggining with the study of tableware from a house of late XIX century, a data systematization and a critical approach of the methods used in the study of this class of material were sought, with particular emphasis on the stoneware. The main problems refer to some concepts like “pattern” and “model”. The establishment of “types” is also suggested, aiming to refine the current study, and some questions are raised about the use of the mean ceramic date formula, proposed by Stanley South in 1971.##plugins.themes.default.displayStats.downloads##
