Résumé

This article presents the methodology and results of a research of historical archaeology, performed in São Paulo, Brazil, which aimed at understanding the practices and behaviors concerning the use of tableware by the São Paulo society, in the 18th and 19th centuries, using archaeological samples coming from three sites in the central region of the city: the sites Solar da Marquesa, Beco do Pinto and Casa N°1.
