This paper uses a gender approach to study ancient Roman history and discusses theoretical issues on writing and historical knowledge. Taking into account gender and love relations, the paper tries to define what is feminine and masculine. To do that, studies on the recent historiography relating to the Roman world are carried out, particularly studies on women.Downloads
