Abstract

The article describes the figure of intellectual with diversified interest that was Ivánov and reports aspects of his thesis on the double human cognition, his two asymmetric cerebral hemispheres, in an analogy with more archaic manifestations of human culture, equally dual and asymmetrical, also pointing to complex issues, such as translations and information processing.
