Abstract

Júlio Pires Porto Carrero, together with Gastão Pereira da Silva and Neves Manta, was part of the triad which, in Rio de Janeiro, up to the 40s disseminated with vigor the ideas of psychoanalyses. Taking medicine as a starting point, Porto Carrero imprinted in his activities and his discourse a pedagogical character which aimed at eugenic by means of education founded on psychoanalytical principles.
