The authors study a case of inguinal hernia occurred in a bitch, verifying the presence of a pregnant uterine horn in the herniary sac. They begun the work studing the frequency of inguinal hernia, in bitches, revealing that this is, perhaps, the first case reported among us. They revised several hypothesis assumed to explain the formation of these hernia and conclude by accepting Hendrickx’s point of view. They offer a summarized clinic history of the case, present considerations about the general operative technique of the inguinal hernia and describe the intervention. Finally they resum the post-operative, concluding by the success attained.Downloads
