Eighty different geographical points of São Paulo state were sampled concerning roughages and concentrates given to dairy cows, during both raining and dry seasons. Results showed selenium deficiencies in the grasses, magnified in the dry season period. It was also observed that com, as whole plant or grain was very poor in selenium.
