Abstract

This article analyzes the influence of the soup operas in the Brazilian emissive tourism. The research analyzes the influence of the culture of different countries, conveyed through the customs, symbols and landscapes of television displays in the national emissive tourism and international relations. The diffusion of cultures is made possible by globalization and technological development, and this is where the novels appear. Wonders to what extent the imagination of the viewer and their consumption behavior are influenced by these productions, appearing thus the interest in studying and understanding this behavior in relation to the tourism product. The study is based on literature searches, information from the media, in addition to interviews with travel agents in Brazil who selling international packages. The results show that the images of other countries that are constructed and expressed in the novels, in other words, the marketing of these destinations, attract the interest of spectators and lead to demand for travel to these places.
