Abstract

The New Economic Policy (NEP) implemented by Vladímir Ilich Lenin in 1921produced new concerns in the artistic field. The soviets opinions as for the NEP have been divided for and against it. For many of them, the NEP threatened their work due to the promotion of the production of private companies and the introduction of new technology; as long as, for others, it meant the starting point of the economic resumption would allow the entry of artistic products of little scope until then. The importation of technological products opened a new artistic outlook that stimulated and placed photography in the center of the scene. The present work intends to tell the different uses and forms of circulation that photography had during the revolutionary years of the NEP.
