This article aims to identify the roots of the conflicts between north and south of Sudan, from the study of the formation of their nation-state. From the establishment of the Southern Policy (1930) - key landmark within the larger project of the colonial administration to distinguish north and south of Sudan - the focus is on understanding the most relevant issues, between 1930 and 1956, in Sudan taking into account the formation of collective identities, not always reconcilable, in the midst of the nation-state construction.Downloads
