This article aims at tracing a critical analysis of texts of deaf women’s authorship with the objective of discussing the modes of self-representation of the deaf difference, placing a focus on the heterogeneity of such experience. The theoretical underpinning adopted to give materiality to the objective traced stems first from the interrogation about the emergence of this new authorship profile which challenges the literary status when producing discourses which break up with the idea of homogeneity and establish the discourse of the difference as identity recourse. Added to this, due to the heterogeneity of the corpus which makes up the object of our analysis, a theoretical underpinning which communicates with researches about the writing of the self and Slam performances is equally activated.
