In the twentieth century we are witnessing the dawn of what was consecrated call new technologies. Search It will discuss here, in historical perspective, which many authors evaluate as the revolution of the XXI century, "biotechnology revolution" that can set or not "our post-human future", a phrase which is the title of another the renowned author of the work "the End of history" - would be our post-history future? - Francis Fukuyama. biobased products flourished very imperialist role in expansion, mainly from the mid-nineteenth century, with a view to combating malaria, yellow fever, and the improvement of animals and plants, among other developments - biotechnology word comes in the early twentieth century, but only have their diffusion in the finals of the same decades. New impetus was given in 1953 with the discovery of the spiral structure of the DNA molecule contains the genetic code. Perhaps no scientific fact in recent decades has been most eagerly awaited and resoundingly announced as the completion of the Human Genome Project by the British and American governments on June 26, 2000.
