Abstract

Texts books lectures practices done in the Brazilians schools in the nineteenth century and the first decade of the twenty century are discussed. Firstly this text presents some methodological procedures related to specific sources to the study of the History of Schools Practices, and secondly it shows the role of text books in the scholarization process in a literate modern society.
