Abstract

Mathematics and mother tongue are disciplines always present in school curricula. In spite this companionship, problems confronted in teaching both disciplines are often discussed in independent ways, making difficult any united educational action. The article deals with the need of a grater approach in teaching both disciplines, supported by the parallelism in the functions they play a part - or, at least would play - in general formation of a person.
